The people of Genome have enjoyed a millinia of peace. But an evil sorcerer has found his way out of the pit in which the Queen of MiraLand had imprisoned him. The power of the Gemstones and their Keepers must be united again or all is lost. A twelve year old Deaf girl, Aribette, is the key to the salvation of her world. But will she find the courage to accept the Queen's Call?

Novalie Bulin has been writing all her life. Her love for the power of words began as a child with short stories and poetry. Over the years, she has curated educational materials for homeschooling families, Biblical studies for adult education classes, and a popular blog on the transition from parenthood to empty nester entitled, “It’s Monday and I’m 50.”

In 2011, Novalie began studying ASL, American Sign Language and by 2013, she found a local school that admitted deaf children and received permission to volunteer in three of their classes. Through this one on one interaction coupled with her ongoing studies, Novalie felt there was a gulf between the hearing and Deaf communities. And she wanted to do something about it.

Combining her love of education, teaching, and giving back to the community has been the inspiration behind the MiraLand series. Novalie believes access to education and an education that meets the needs of every child is not a privilege but a right and that all individuals no matter their differing or unique abilities can work together to create a better, more united world for generations to come.
